The Washington, DC Federation of Music Clubs is a nonprofit group of individuals and local music organizations. We focus on discovering and nurturing young musicians at the start of their careers and providing opportunities for them to perform before appreciative audiences.

AMERICAN WOMEN COMPOSERS CONCERT: this annual event will be held Friday, November 18 at 11:00 am Strathmore Hall. Past concerts have featured music by Washington Area women composers Wang An-Ming, Jo Lombard, Ruth Norman, and Winifred Hyson. More information

Spotlight on LaSalle Spier: local composer LaSalle Spier was actively involved in the music community in Washington DC. The DCFMC is a resource for Mr. Spier's music and information about the composer, and sponsors a competition for performance of Mr. Spier's music at the discretion of the board.
